Chañares Estate

The story goes that the chañar was born from the remains of an Indian woman who loved a white child whom she had cured and who was crying sadly for her, he wanted to return from the death in an arboreal form to give him comfort. In her new existence, she continued to spread good since the chañar provides good quality wood, offers edible fruits with which the syrup is prepared, its leaves and bark are medicinal, it embellishes the landscape with its yellow-orange flowers and provides shelter mountains for cattle. At Villas del Malbec, we have wanted to pay tribute to our old chañares, aware that the good they provide on our land is transmitted in each and every one of the rows of our vineyards, to achieve the best version of our wines.
